Some Random Observations

Last night was probably the funniest night I've had in a long time. Lets just say, when I get tired and have to study and learn, things sound and look a whole lot funnier than they probably are...
I was reading in 1 Samuel and it said something about how Saul was taller than everyone from the shoulders up, and to me, that made it seem like he had some sort of abnormally long neck or head, and so I asked Katelyn who just laughed at me and said, "it means he was a head taller!" Duh.

Surprising moments of the night included innocently listening to Pandora, you know, just jamming to whatever and next thing we know a voice comes on (and quite loudly) says, "Friends are like bras..." To which me and Katelyn just turn and look at each other and laugh. Weird. Definitely not what you're expecting from a music station... On another note, I was studying for my Psych final (I'm guessing Katelyn's glad I'm done with that class... I was starting to freak her out) and I was sharing about this man who stopped at a park and was shooting squirrels but it turned out they were actually children and he just had paranoid schizophrenia that made him think children were squirrels, and about how I was reading about sexual and gender identity disorders and how awkward it was and all she could say was something along the lines of "o dear". Yeah, it was a weird night.

This was all after we had our last roommate bonding time- at Prom. :) Yeah, we were the only ones in the theater (not counting the one lady sitting in the front) and it was a blast. This year has flown by but it's been so fun. :)

Thought of the day: Don't watch shows about women trying to push a baby out for 3 hours, or being in labor for 13 hours, or screaming cause they're in so much pain, if you ever want to give birth to a baby... sick.

Packin' Up and Movin' Out!

Crazy how time flies. I swear I was just moving into Reid at the start of Freshman year, thinking, "What on earth is this year going to be like?" Lets just say, sitting at the end of Freshman year, my year does not look like how I envisioned it. Not that it's a bad thing, just different. It's been quite the challenging year... God's constantly been reminding me that His plans, look nothing like my own. That's fine, but sometimes I wish I'd be on the same page as Him ya know? Curve balls from left field are only fun every once in awhile...
But I'm so blessed to have met the people I met, be surrounded by the friends I'm surrounded with and be where I am today. I look forward to being an RA next year, leading a CRU bible study, and just being more involved, and also pursing a degree track finally! :) How exciting!

On another note, finals week is here and I seem to have developed a twitch in my lung... at least that's the general area that seems to be twitching. I'm not sure what it means- maybe stress, maybe just...I don't even know- but I wish it would stop. It's quite annoying. Kind of like finding a hair in your food is annoying. It's not the end of the world, but it makes the rest of your meal that much more bleh. Maybe not JUST like that... but close enough. I'm days away from finishing up my last french class of my college career. The joy cannot be expressed. It's going to be pretty much like Christmas on Friday the 13th after I turn in my last final- oh the joy! I can't believe finals are here, and that studying is about to get down and dirty. Although how teachers expect me to get good grades when my room is 40 degrees is a mystery to me. Reid Hall, I will NOT miss this. Sometimes me and Katelyn sit and laugh because of how ridiculous our room is... but I love it. I wouldn't change a thing about it (Well, lie, I would make it warmer) because it solidifies my memories of spending time with my Roomie that much deeper into my mind. I'm going to miss her, It's been so fun being her roommate. My sister asked if I thought we'd be friends after we move away from each other and I can say with all confidence yes. I love this girl and it's been great to spend the past whatever months living with her! This just means she'll have to spend time with me in Maple next year... hint hint ;).

Anyway, I guess I should go study, and try to stop this twitch...

Tip of the day: If you want a Pandora radio station that plays nothing but AMAZING songs, Parachute is the way to go. :)
